Sierra Killam is a Toronto artist living and working in Ottawa, Ontario. Her kindergarten teacher proclaimed that she was destined for art school, but Sierra found her way to a Master of Science degree instead. After a creative childhood full of drawing, knitting, and quilting, she turned to art in earnest to cope with the stresses of graduate school. Her paintings are an extension of her curiosity, and represent moments of mindfulness when she is present with the beauty that is waiting to be noticed. Amidst the chaos of life, each day is filled with simple moments of wonder, and she loves being able to share them with others. Painting offers endless challenges and rewards, and Sierra thrills at the magic of transforming a blank surface into an expression of joy.
